The Bun is Almost Done!

Good day my lovelies,
Going on week 35 of pregnancy and I couldn't be any more anxious to pop this lil' bugger out.  My day has been filled with back aches, cramping, and braxton hicks.  Not to mention my fair share of tears.  But, I know it's all worth it for the amazing outcome awaiting us.  Look how much we have grown!

We are having a boy, Odin Cruse Anderson, expected to arrive December 12th.  Odin is a Norse mythological god who was the ruler of Asgard and the father of Thor.  The name "Odin" represents war, wisdom, magic, poetry, and prophecy.  Now, I think Norse mythology and vikings are cool and all, but the reason I've always loved the name Odin is purely for it's simplicity and masculinity.  With that being said, if you have seen that cheese ball Thor movie, the one with the hot blonde in some star trek costume, don't bother bringing that up when you hear my sons name.  I will surely flying elbow drop you.  Thanks.

Next on the list is the baby shower, which I am so excited for!  We are going with a woodsy lumberjack theme for our lil' man.  The baby's closet is already filled with flannels, pendletons, and denim, so I feel the theme is absolutely appropriate.

It's blowing my mind to think I will be a mommy before Christmas!  Such a beautiful to time to snuggle up with the new bundle of love.

Happy All Hallows' Day!

  2. Yeah! So cool Carli. You know "Odin the Norse" is the spitting image of your 4X Great Grandfather Whaler Peter Green from Holland - unbelieveable resemblance! I love you and know you are both going to make awesome, loving parents!
